Process of buying long term care insurance
through the agents of mcr financial

step 1 - initial review

Review the content of this web site to become familiar with long term care insurance. There are several long term care insurance articles available to review. To proceed with the process, we ask that you Request A Long Term Care Insurance Quote online.

step 2 - get the quote

After the agents of MCR Financial receive the request for a long term care insurance quote from you, they will prepare an initial proposal. A link to this proposal will be sent to you via email, so make sure the email address you provide us on the quote request form is accurate. All you need to do is open the email from LTChelper.com, and click on the link contained within the email. You will then be at a web page which has your quote to review.

step 3 - review the quote

Review the long term care insurance proposal we designed for you from one of the major insurance companies we represent. Call your agent to walk through your proposal together on the phone toll free at 866-683-1430. Your agent will describe all of optional riders and benefits available to you, and help design a long term care insurance policy that best fits your needs.

step 4 - apply for the policy

Once you have a long term care insurance plan that you are completely happy with, it is time to apply for the coverage with the company underwriting the policy. The web page we built for you which you used to download your proposal also contains a link to the application. We need you to print out the application and fill it out to the best of your ability. Mail the completed application along with a check for the first months premium payable to the insurance company to:

MCR Financial
1355 Piccard Dr., Suite 380
Rockville, MD 20850
attn: New Business

If you are unhappy with the final underwriting decision premiums can be refunded to you, you are not bound for the coverage simply by sending in a deposit.

step 5 - underwriting process

Once our office receives your completed application we will submit it directly to the insurance company for underwriting. Their underwriting department will review your application to see if you qualify for coverage. Our office will call a company called Portamedic to schedule any required medical exams which they will coordinate directly with you. If you are over the age of 70, we will have Portamedic call you to schedule a face-to-face interview.

step 6 - placing policy in-force

Once the insurance company has reviewed the application and any medical records they have requested from physicians you have seen, they will either issue the policy as applied, decline the application, or issue the policy with at another rate class. You will then get a physical long term care insurance policy from the insurance company in the mail for review and delivery. Your agent from MCR Financial will go over each and every provision of the contract with you, and answer all of your questions should you have any. If you are happy with the final product, and agree with the terms and conditions, the coverage will be in-force.
